At an altitude of 1850 m, the Risoul resort offers a ski area made up of 185 km of slopes connected with the Vars resort: La Forêt Blanche.
It is located in the Southern Alps (in the Hautes-Alpes department) in the heart of the Guillestrois region and at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park and the Queyras Regional Natural Park, near Gap, Briançon and Guillestre. The resort of Risoul 1850 overlooks the Guil valley and the Fort of Mont-Dauphin (classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
To reach it, pass the hamlets of L'Eglise, Gaudissard, La Rua, Chauvet, Languieu, Villaret, Fourniers, La Place, Barbeinc. It is located after the 13 km of winding ascent (which regularly see the Tour de France, Il Giro (Tour of Italy) and the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré passing by!)
